Product Description

The 100mm Self-Adhesive Aluminum Door Threshold Strip provides a practical solution for covering wide flooring joints and creating a clean transition between adjacent floor surfaces.

The extra-wide profile is particularly useful where a standard narrow transition strip cannot provide sufficient coverage. It can help conceal expansion gaps, floor joints and exposed flooring edges while creating a finished appearance beneath doors and between rooms.

The integrated self-adhesive backing provides a convenient installation method on suitable smooth, clean and stable surfaces. Unlike screw-fixed threshold profiles, it does not require drilling into the flooring, which can be useful when working with tile, finished wood or other surfaces where drilling is undesirable. 

The aluminum profile can be supplied with different surface treatments and colors to coordinate with flooring, doors, furniture and other interior finishes.

Installation Method

Self-Adhesive Installation

1. Measure the flooring joint or doorway.
2. Cut the 100mm aluminum profile to the required length.
3. Position the profile over the joint before removing the backing.
4. Check that the profile provides sufficient coverage on both sides.
5. Thoroughly clean the installation surface.
6. Remove dust, grease, moisture and loose particles.
7. Allow the surface to dry completely.
8. Remove the protective film from the adhesive backing.
9. Align the profile carefully.
10. Press firmly along the entire length.
11. Apply consistent pressure to improve adhesive contact.
12. Allow the adhesive to bond before subjecting the profile to heavy traffic.

For the strongest bond, the surface should be smooth, clean, dry and stable. Self-adhesive threshold products are commonly recommended for suitable flat flooring surfaces where drilling is not desirable.
